Effective Date: August 26, 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MyCaseGuide.com and the services provided through My Case Guide, operated by MatterOrigin (“My Case Guide,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using this website or submitting information through My Case Guide, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms.
My Case Guide is not a law firm, does not practice law, and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal opinions.
Information provided through this website is for general informational and connection purposes only and should not be relied upon as legal advice.
If you require legal advice concerning your individual circumstances, you should speak directly with a qualified attorney.
My Case Guide provides an online service through which individuals may submit information concerning a motor vehicle accident or potential personal injury matter.
Based on the information you provide, My Case Guide may determine whether your situation may be appropriate for connection with a participating personal injury attorney or law firm.
If appropriate, we may provide information from your submission to a participating attorney or law firm so that they may contact you regarding your request.
My Case Guide does not independently determine whether you have a legally valid claim or what your claim may be worth.
Using My Case Guide, completing our questionnaire, providing information, or communicating with My Case Guide does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and My Case Guide.
Providing your information to a participating attorney or law firm also does not automatically establish an attorney-client relationship.
An attorney-client relationship may arise only if you and an attorney separately agree to establish such a relationship.
Information submitted to My Case Guide should therefore not be assumed to be protected by attorney-client privilege.
Submitting information through My Case Guide does not guarantee that:
You have a valid personal injury claim;
Your situation qualifies for legal representation;
An attorney will contact you;
An attorney will accept your matter;
Any lawsuit or legal proceeding will be filed;
Your claim has any particular value; or
You will receive compensation, settlement proceeds, damages, or any other recovery.
Any indication that your situation “may qualify,” “may be a fit,” or similar language is preliminary only.
My Case Guide does not make guarantees or representations concerning the outcome or potential financial value of any legal claim.
Every accident, injury, insurance claim, and legal matter is different.
Any determination regarding whether you have a claim, the legal merits of that claim, and its potential value must be made by a qualified attorney after reviewing the relevant facts.
Participating attorneys and law firms are independent third parties.
They are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of My Case Guide.
My Case Guide does not control a participating attorney's:
Legal judgment;
Decision to accept or reject a matter;
Legal advice;
Fees or costs;
Representation agreements;
Communications with you;
Handling of a claim; or
Professional conduct.
Any legal representation, fees, expenses, or other arrangements are solely between you and the attorney or law firm you choose to engage.
My Case Guide does not charge consumers a fee simply for completing the case-check questionnaire or requesting a potential attorney connection.
My Case Guide may receive compensation from participating attorneys, law firms, or legal-service providers for advertising, marketing, lead-generation, or related services.
Any legal fees or costs charged by an attorney are separate from My Case Guide and are governed by your agreement with that attorney or law firm.
Personal injury matters may be subject to statutes of limitation, notice requirements, filing deadlines, and other time-sensitive legal requirements.
Using My Case Guide does not:
Stop or extend any legal deadline;
Preserve a legal claim;
Constitute filing a lawsuit or claim;
Constitute notice to an insurer or governmental entity; or
Replace consultation with an attorney.
You remain responsible for obtaining legal advice concerning deadlines applicable to your circumstances.
Do not delay seeking legal assistance solely because you submitted information through My Case Guide.
You agree that information you submit through My Case Guide will be accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge.
You agree not to:
Impersonate another person;
Knowingly provide false or misleading information;
Submit another person's personal information without appropriate authority;
Submit a telephone number that you are not authorized to use;
Use our service for fraudulent or unlawful purposes; or
Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of our website.
When you provide your telephone number and submit a request through My Case Guide, you are requesting information relating to the motor vehicle accident or potential personal injury matter described in your submission.
By submitting your request, you agree that My Case Guide and participating personal injury attorneys or law firms may contact you at the telephone number you provided regarding your request, including by telephone call or text message, subject to applicable law.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary.
Your consent to receive calls or text messages is not a condition of purchasing any property, goods, or services.
You may opt out of text messages by replying STOP. You may also communicate a request to stop communications through other reasonable methods. Applicable opt-out and consent-revocation requests will be honored as required by law.
The FCC recognizes reasonable methods of revoking consent to covered robocalls and robotexts, including text-message opt-outs.
Nothing in these Terms should be interpreted as granting blanket authorization to unidentified third parties to make prerecorded or artificial-voice telemarketing calls.
Additional consent may be required before certain automated, artificial-voice, or prerecorded telemarketing communications may lawfully be made.
The FTC states that prerecorded telemarketing generally requires prior signed written agreement identifying the specific seller, and that the seller cannot simply rely on a third-party lead generator to obtain that permission on its behalf.
Your use of My Case Guide is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, how it may be disclosed to participating attorneys, law firms and service providers, and rights that may be available to consumers.
Your submission may include information concerning injuries, symptoms, medical treatment, physical condition, or other health-related circumstances.
Such information may be considered sensitive personal information or consumer health data under certain state laws.
Our collection, use, disclosure, and retention of such information are described in our Privacy Policy and any additional legally required notices or policies.
My Case Guide may use or link to third-party platforms, websites, service providers, attorneys, or law firms.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, availability, content, services, or conduct of independent third parties.
Once you provide information directly to an attorney, law firm, or other third party, that party's own terms and privacy practices may apply.
My Case Guide is not an emergency service.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
Do not use My Case Guide as a substitute for emergency medical care, urgent legal advice, or other professional assistance requiring immediate attention.
Unless otherwise indicated, the My Case Guide name, branding, website design, text, graphics, logos, and other website materials owned by us are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, commercially exploit, or use our proprietary materials without authorization except as permitted by law.
You may not use My Case Guide to:
Engage in unlawful or fraudulent activity;
Attempt unauthorized access to our systems;
Interfere with website functionality or security;
Transmit malicious software;
Scrape or systematically extract website information without authorization;
Misrepresent your identity; or
Otherwise misuse the service.
We may modify, update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of My Case Guide at any time.
We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or continuously available.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, My Case Guide and its services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We disclaim warranties, express or implied, to the extent legally permitted, including warranties concerning availability, accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or results obtained through use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, My Case Guide and MatterOrigin will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to:
Your use or inability to use the website;
Information provided through the service;
Your decision to act or refrain from acting based on website information;
An attorney's decision not to accept your matter;
Conduct or services of participating attorneys or other third parties; or
Unauthorized access or technical interruptions outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices, technology, or applicable requirements.
Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Your continued use of My Case Guide after an update will be subject to the version of the Terms then in effect, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
I would leave a specific jurisdiction, arbitration clause, class-action waiver, and venue clause OUT for now.
Because MatterOrigin is being operated from Australia while My Case Guide serves U.S. consumers and participating U.S. law firms, you should have a lawyer determine the appropriate governing-law and dispute provisions before adding them.
A poorly chosen boilerplate arbitration or governing-law clause can create more problems than it solves.
